we need more judges and officals from our region to these tournaments cause we are getting robbed left and right. how can 2 judges give the other guy penalties and one juged give me the wrong penaltie points and then cant take them back i clearly one the fight in the semi. its something 3 judges even the head judge said i won. we need more officals from our regional even if each gym have to dish out some funds for travel 141

I feel real bad for that kid, his father is screwing him up.The kid could be good but his father can't coach he's a clown. He needs to take a break and find a new gym.

Most likely we won't have as many officials at these tourneys as we'd like. CA and even TX judges travel to a lot of the major tournaments. Going against those states puts a lot of boxers (including our own) at an immediate disadvantage. Going to tourney like the Ringside, you should understand the environment your going in to and what the judges look for. If not, there are a lot of coaches that can tell you generally what style wins and what does not. For the sake of your boxer - you should really know this.

With that said, I was most impressed with all the boxers that lost and how gracious they were in defeat - even when they didn't agree or clearly had reason to be upset. Great testament for our sport and a lot of the boxers attitudes are great examples that even the coaches AND parents could follow. Good job by all the boxers!!!

I saw a few decisions that I didn't agree with but for the most part, out of the 1,300 boxers-I didn't see a lot of irate coaches/boxers. With that number of officials you will get some that aren't very good, but considering the volume, I think the officiating was decent.

NoXcuse took nine fighters and won six belts. They had seven in the championship. Very impressive. Great Job!

The entire PVA looked good across the board. Great job to all!

For real Demond looked good and he won that fight but just like a lot of us he was robbed. The good thing is that we all took it on the chin cause we know what really went down. Still good job to MD, DC, and VA. From Down Under

For those who don't know Asia fought outside of her original weight class of 132lbs and went to 145lbs because there were no one in her weight class and she did not go to Kansas for a walkover she wanted to earn her belt.

keep pushing Asia stay in the gym.

how can a boxer that weighs 132 fight a boxer that weights 145? That's a big difference. I thought there was a 7lbs. max??

aujee tyler won and kareem martin and lawerence singh

Congratulations to all the PVA boxer's. We are getting stronger and stronger. There is no one gym that really oustands them all. Thank GOD, and that's great! If we could throw aside our differences and pull together. We could easily slay the great gaint called region 8, if we pull together and work with each other before we go to these national tournaments and get the boxer's together. We'll get some of the best sparring in the country. Let's support each other and take turns visiting each others gyms, prior to these tournaments. You'll be surprise how much that would do for the kids and the grown ass fools who are selfish and self content. When we're out of town, the DMV would out top them all!

CONGRAT'S TO ALL THE PVA. BOXER'S GREAT JOB. NOXCUSE, AND THE HEADBABGER'S DOMINATED

If you did't know Asia had to eat to make weight and it was and she had to be within eight pounds. anyway I thought she performed well, but could have took the easy way out by taking the walkover at 132lbs or at 138lbs because there were no one in those weight catagories. Before making comments do some research first on amature boxing.

I was just asking because it wasn't stated what weight she was. This is a blog for discussion and without statements it would cease ti exists. If you are going to be so sensitive don't bring up the subject at all.

It did appear that her opponent was much bigger and stronger so I wanted to know how much weight age had to gain to take that fight. You answered my question. Didn't need the extra stuff. I like Asia as a boxer BTW. Just asking ???s.

kisners fight was horrible me and my son seen it and there is no way he lost. the refferee broke up the action every 5 seconds. the fight was just a bad thing overall. zimmies fight was very questionable to. but other then that we had a very good tournament. congrats to all the champs

Isnt Javonte Charles the same guy that Kisner just deafeated at the usa nationals ?

Alantez stepped up to the Open Men's Division and controlled the ring in all bouts . Although the talent wasn't top of the line, he performed well. Congratulations on a good victory which proved he is ready to box among the elite in the men's division 152. It won't be easy......I was very proud of you, son, and I want all to know I feel you're becoming a great boxer!!! Don't let the streets and other treats ruin your career. Big-ups to all are beltway boxers. Most even looked good when they lost. The PVA needs to come together so we can keep our boxers sharp. Congratulations to all that won!!!!!!

dusty harrison and nick kisner
are a joke now that they are open
watch and see what they win now

Harrison got to the semis and Kisner got to the quarters. That's not too bad for open competition.

dusty isn't open. nick is. dusty fought 15/16 at the ringside. he was still JO. the one kid he beat lost in finals of this years JOs at 145. the other was #2 in US at least once i know about. Nick is going pro soon and definitely will be NO joke. He didn't look good at RWC but no one did against Javonta. That kid makes everyone of his fights ugly. Ask Rock.

kisner has won the national pal and the under 19 in the open class and a silver medal at the usa nationals lol that was a dumb comment. he held the number 2 rank in world for youth and 10 spot for senior pan-am. get ur facts right that was just a total dumb comment

No"X"Cuse Gym had nine (9) participant, six (6) champions, one (1) runner up, two (2) lost in the semi final. I would like thank GOD for boxing. Changing heart from the inside out.

This was my first year as a judge as well as my sons first year as a boxer. I was very surprised at some of the results in my ring as well as others. I asked lots of questions as to how kids won that I clearly saw as a loss but who am I just a newbie.
