its getting down to the wire.good luck to alex and kevin. alex has emerged as the leader of this team. his coach hal chernof is the class of the coaches. 2 other boxers david grayton and travis peterkin have shown true sportsmanship, both should have won. grayton fought errol spence down the wire. peterkin nearly dismantled luis arias. we could have 4. good luck to kevin and alex. bring it home.

Thomas Williams did not look his best. Was hurt several times due to left hand down low. Corner was yelling to keep hands up.

gaddis? tell mcgruder that. mcgruder had a tough time last night. his coach could have done a better job preparing him for the stretch run meanwhile gaddis goes to the usa nationals next month. good luck.

MaGruders opponent is a great boxer. Garza beat 3 2008 olympians in the 2007 us championship regionals in Ohio- according to bio on usab. He also was on us dual team that went to Ireland. He may win the tournament most likely. Would love to see video.

How could his trainer better prepare him for the stretch run? What was he lacking? He has a very good trainer.

You will find a lot of good fighters in the open division period. MuGruder considers himself a good fight also, so forget who that guy has beaten in the past. MuGruder has to reboundand learn from this and step his game up. I think he will.

Keep your head up Tony.

Yes. I am currently a spectator of the golden gloves and I seen Thomas Williams bout last night. To me he didn't look great but I thought he still won the fight. Williams was never hurt during the fight so that info was false. So all you people that are talking need to know the facts first. And if u didn't even go to the nationals u definitly need to keep your mouth shut!!!!!!!!

I think macgruder could of won the fight if he didnt get 3 poitns taken from him,,,even garzas coach said magruder was a hand full! Macgruder seemed to gas a lil in the 2nd and 3rd rnd.. bottom line is he needs to train like an open fighter and get his wind up! He did a real good job tho,,I think he won the 1st rnd hands down,,then he started to get sloppy gassing..skill wise he got the whole package,,,I think he just need to train harder and get his wind up,,he could be unstoppable,,,,first 2 nights I was real impressed with the kid.. keep up the good work step ur cardio up and you'll be #1 without a dought!

Lil tony u need to train like an open fighter and not like ur going to the silver gloves... u did a damn good job if u wouldn't of gased a lil u could of won easy,,,y'all didn't no that the guy tony lost to beat lil gary russell jr,,,molina,,,and raynell williams,,,so the guy he fought is not a joke,,,,,but from what I say skill wise,,,,lil tony could be unstopable! Get ur conditioning like ur skills and u will be on top for a long long time! We going to bring back atleast 1 championship! Kevin and alex looks good!

Very nice to have home town officials that keep us updated. Thanks

Both Kevin and Alex have lost in the quarterfinals, but they did a great job of boxing this week against the nations best.

Conditioning is part of the sport. Who cares if he won the 1st round??? He didn't win the fight! He has to be ready for all three round or he will get the same results every time. Train harder champ.
