Thanks to my Fightnews.com colleague Joe Gradowski for the results from tonight's card at the Winchester Sportsplex in Winchester, VA.
Front Royal, VA junior welterweight Andrew "The Doo Man" Farmer won an eight-round unanimous decision over veteran Marty "Too Sweet" Robbins of Crossville, TN. Judging by the judge's scores, Farmer seemed to be in control throughout. Farner earned a shutout on one judge's card, 80-72. The other scores were 78-73 and 78-75.
Farmer is now 12-1, seven KO's while Robbins falls to 22-43-1, 15 KO's.
The co-feature saw Arlington, VA lightweight "The Mongolian Mongoose" Bayan Jargal remain undefeated by first-round disqualification over Brian "The Lion" Carden of St. Joseph, MO. Carden was disqualified with seven seconds remaining in the round when his cornermen jumped up onto the ring apron in protest.
Jargal is now 12-0-1, eight KO's while Carden is now 8-8, seven KO's.
Alexandria, VA lightweight Jaime "The Punisher" Palma got back on the winning track with a six-round unanimous decision over Salisbury, MD's Randolph Scott. Palma won by scores of 57-56 (twice) and 58-55. Palma is now 14-13-1, three KO's while Scott is 0-3.
Also on the card, Winchester heavyweight Scott "The Body Snatcher" Hossaflook won a four-round split decision over Derek "D-Mos" Amos of Dumfries, VA. Two judges scored it 39-37 for Hossaflook while one judge saw it 39-37 for Amos. Hossaflook is now 2-3 while Amos is 15-28, nine KO's.
I should have a more detailed report from Joe later today. By the way, this is indeed the same Joe Gradowski that serves as the timekeeper for the bouts in Maryland. Because he serves in that capacity, Joe does not write about any of the cards in Maryland. Joe is helping me cover cards in Virginia and DC only.

Jargal got robbed of a knockout, this guy Carden was about to go when his corner tried to stop the fight. It definitely was about to be a KO. Keep on looking like a champ Mongoose we know you will be one soon.
That guy was getting murdered. Jargal is a beast. I thought the ref should've stepped in & rescued the guy before his corner did.
What I saw was an Andrew Farmer who was not in control throughout. Farmer won first two rounds easily, but after that was frequently on the ropes getting caught with nice body shots and occasional left hands to the head from the southpaw Robbins. Robbins landed many clean effective blows but in my opinion seemed to be too small of a man to do damage. Farmer had great speed but found his mark on Robbins gloves mostly. Farmer must've earned points for show boating, pretending that clean shots didnt hurt him. Farmer did deserve the win but 80-72 is not accurate. Much credit do to Robbins.
Jargal looked good but the guy he was fighting looked like a street fighter. No head movement and swung right hand haymakers with his eyes closed. Turned away when being swung on. Where do they get these people?
Palma's fight was extremely boring, even though he scored a knockdown. I could barely watch.
The Hossaflok fight was terrible. There had to be 50 red necks there yelling for Hossaflok to throw his left hand, even after Hossafok switched to orthodox stance. I have nothing against red necks, I actually enjoy them, but it was really annoying when that many people are cheering and have no clue about boxing. But I was almost certain Hossaflok's opponent was paid to lose. Not often do you see a 4 round split decision.
Derek Amous got robbed.I agree with the last post.I had Farmer winning easily, but got tired of him sticking out his tounge.Andrew has alot of speed + can box.Like for Farmer to step it up to see where he is really at.Good luck on your next fight doo man.RED NECKS RULE Thats funny
I thought Derek Amos won but really with his experience, he should've killed a 41yr old guy with a 1-3 record.
Jargal is a beast, plain & simple. Everytime the guy through a shot at him, he punched him in the stomach. The guy eventually just didn't want to punch back.
Viva Mongolia!
Gary, Thought you would be there?
Thanks for the stats.

What kind of injury did Andrew have. I couldnt tell it.Palma fight was very boring. And what happened to all the fights.
I believe Andrew had an injury to his hand. Jaime had a significant serious injury to his eye. I don't know exactly when that occurred, but the young lion he was fighting needs to get over that stage fright. Sure it would have been much more interesting then.
I told you farmer wouldn' knock out robbins!
You can tell all day long. Doo was the champ! So go crawl back in your hole and that quarter you got from being right.
Couldn't make the trip this time, Linda! Too much going on at the house.
Interesting article. We all know who the 'prick' is. Very accurate description.
You would have loved it!
Hope all is well at home.
Marty robbins was so short he cant even ride rides at kings dominion.Good job Doo.
Hey, thanks for the shoutout, Linda. I'm the guy whose link you posted, queensberry-rules.com. I didn't meet you at the show! We'll have to touch base next time we end up at the same event.
Everything else:
Jargal's opponent was a little amateurish, it's true, but he was a late substitute. That said, Jargal did to him what a good prospect is supposed to -- beat the bejesus out of him.
Farmer was showboating a little too much but I thought he won the fight cleanly. That's not to say his opponent didn't give him all kinds of hell. Farmer said he injured his right hand in the 2nd round -- that probably didn't help.
I didn't think Amos was fighting to lose. He really had Hossaflook hurt in the 3rd and was going for the knockout before the ref saved him with that mouthpiece trick. He looked a little resigned in the 4th to losing, as if he realized he could fight his best and still hav everything go against him, but he still won the final round, I thought.
The Palma bout was a little boring, but it was competitive, at least. I didn't think it was Palma's fault. Scott was a good defensive fighter and he was avoiding a lot of what Palma wanted to do. Palma told me after he did injure his eye he'd probably retire (again).
I never got the name of the alleged "prick;" but he had all-white hair, a white jacket, and I think glasses. It's funny that YET ANOTHER person had the same observation.
As for the screaming "rednecks," I say: I will take passionate fans over ones that are half asleep any day of the week.
You know how much I love your site, Gary. Nice to see what other people who were at the show thought of it.
Who's this Queensberry guy and where's he from? He's kind of light in the knowledge department. Sounds like he is new to this, and everybody knows Digital is true to this!
Scott Andrew has alot of hand injurys.Do you think this will hurt his boxing career in the long run.
man how many times is palma gonna retire. If does retire again can he atleast wait a month before he unretires. make of your mind palma.
Jaime had unsuccessful surgery on his eye Sunday and another today. I don't know the outcome yet, but let's keep him in our prayers.
Hoping & praying for the best brother.

What happened to his eye.Did it happen in the fight.
I believe he said it was from an accidental head butt.
Joe Gradowski that serves as the timekeeper for the bouts in Maryland. Because he serves in that capacity, Joe does not write about any of the cards in Maryland. Joe is helping me cover cards in Virginia and DC only.
Why would serving as a timekeeper in MD make it a conflict of interest to report on Maryland fights (provided he's not keeping time with one hand and taking notes with the other,)while not making it a conflict in DC or VA?
It's not like he wouldn't be keeping time for a lot of the same fighters in MD that he'd be writing about in DC and VA.
So long as he is open about both hats and signs everything he writes, I don't see the problem. It might be a little different if were a ref or judge, but even in those two positions, I wish that they would be more open with their public comments.
As a fan, I've learned more from chatting (off the record)with boxing officials about fights I've just watched and they've officiated, than I have from any other source.
Sunlight is a tremendous disinfectent, and the more people going on the record with their views and insights, the better.
Call it a bit of preventive medicine, Chris. I don't want to get Joe involved in any possible controversies with his writing.
It may come down to a point where he may have to question the views of what went on in a particular bout and I don't want to get Joe (or his father who serves as a referee and a judge) involved in any possible issues.
That's my call without any prior discussion with anyone on the Maryland State Athletic Commission.
Jaime our thoughts and prayers are with you.
The Farmer Family
I will start by saying that i did not intend on making anyone unhappy with my fight by "showboating, or trash talking." I was strictly trying to keep myself charged up, that's all. Next i would like to think my father Scott Farmer. He has given me so much and i deeply appreciate it. I was expecting a tough fight, and i received one. Marty robbins is very experienced and follows his gameplan all the way thru. Congrats to Jaime, scotty, and The Mongolian Mongoose!
-Andrew"dooman"Farmer
Andrew,
Great job man! I knew you would win! Keep on racking up the wins and forget about everything else!
Justin Ridgway
Jaime got out of surgery a couple of hours ago. Dr. repaired 2 tears in that eye. Will know more after his followup tomorrow.
just twitter us with updates.
"You can tell all day long. Doo was the champ! So go crawl back in your hole and that quarter you got from being right".
You know what Linda nobody said anything bad about farmer, all I said was that I bet he wouldn't K.O. robbins, you always have something smart to say. Like when you thought you knew dean pultz and then you realize that you don't.
Joe hensley made a comment that he wouldn't be suprised if farmer K.O 'd robbins, so why don't you save your smart ass comments.
Thanks for holding up the mirror Anon. I will try to do a better job of keeping my smart ass in check.
Linda,
You causing trouble again?
Scott, sorry I couldn't make it to the show, something came up at the last minute. I heard it was a heck of a show and congratulations to Andrew on the big win over Robbins. When you go 8 good rounds with a 60 plus fight veteran that is what I call a quality win. Andrew won the fight and he may have picked up a thing or two because of the experience. That's what it's all about when you build a prospect. I'll try to make the next one.
Thanks,
Joe Hensley

Linda this site is for people to make comments on various topics, if the person who is addressing a subject is not making crude comments toward another person why does it matter whether they are ANON as you like to say. You always have something smart to say if you don't have anthing good to say than you should not respond.
ANON
I didn't say anything against anons in this thread, but since you brought it up... Perhaps your comments aren't always so valuable either. Who knows since you don't stand behind your name when you bring my name in the mix.
I already apologized. If you don't find value in my comments please just skip over them and move on. I have just as much right to make comments on here as you do.
please leave linda alone she is a good women.Linda thanks for taking good pictures.

Don't worry about her.Seems she handles herself fine here. What in the world has happen to boxing.game.You have alot to learn.

What is with you and your issues with Joe? You sound like the guy who has problems with Chernoff -- Awfully jealous.
Joe has always treated me and others well. You've made your point numerous times. We don't need to hear it anymore.
is there any doubt that jargal is history in the making? this guy goes to the body like wow! carden's corner pulled a trash move for sure. the 'goose is loose. congrats to his team. class act!
Thanks for the kind words Digital and I appreciate the back up! That's just the way it is, people can say whatever they want, it doesn't bother me. See, the thing is, I know who wrote that anonymous post about me. And he's got no backbone at all, he's nothing but a coward. He'll never sign his name and he'll never fight a tough fight. He just doesn't have it in him. That ought to narrow it down for you who it is exactly. Now to my anonymous basher, why don't you have the guts to sign your real name? Oh, I know the answer to that one, you're a coward in the truest definition of the word. A spineless, limp wristed, scared little boy who couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag if his life depended on it! I'm done with you you sorry loser! If you ever grow a set and decide to sign your name, I'll be here. I'm not going anywhere!
Thanks,
Joe Hensley
Because it's Anon, you really don't know who made the comments. They could have come from Joe for all we know.
He such a great guy though...sure that is not the case.
To quote Rodney
Can't we all just get along.
Joe you are starting to sound like anonamous.
Joe Hensley is anonymous. Pass it on.
