Boyd Loses Six-Round Decision in Wilkes-Barre!

DC super featherweight Ron "Teflon" Boyd has just lost a six-round unanimous decision to undefeated Antonio Espinosa tonight at the Woodlands Resort and Spa in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

According to Boxing Digest writer JR Jowett (who I thank for sending me the result), Espinosa forced the action throughout the contest, scoring what Jowett called a "fluke" knockdown in the fourth round. Boyd was not hurt, but spent a lot of time looking for one good shot. The scores were 60-53 (twice) and 58-56.

Boyd now falls under .500 with a record of 6-7, two KO's. Espinosa is now 11-0, one KO.
