Great Falls, VA junior middleweight Jimmy Lange returns to action on Saturday, May 2 at the George Mason University Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA. Lange will vie for a vacant regional title.
Lange (29-3-2, 20 KO's) will take on "Dangerous" Ryan Davis of East St. Louis, IL (20-8-2, eight KO's) in a scheduled 12-round bout for the vacant WBC USNBC Super Welterweight title. Lange is coming off an impressive 10-round unanimous decision victory over Grover Wiley on November 1 at the Patriot Center in Lange's first bout since his rotator cuff surgery.
Davis has fought well-known competition throughout his career. Davis lost a 12-round unanimous decision to Zab Judah for the IBC Junior Middleweight title in November of 2007. Lange will be the third former Contender participant Davis has faced, losing a six-round unanimous decision to Lange's season one participant, Jonathan Reid and dropping a 10-round majority decision to season three cast member Miguel Hernandez.
This card will be promoted by ICE Promotions, led by Jackie Kallen. More on this card as it develops.
Another "Dangerous" opponent for Jimmy Lange!!!

ReplyDeleteDo you know where I can find Derek Amos' fight schedule?
TC
Best thing to do is to look him up on www.boxrec.com.
ReplyDeleteGary, I am sorry to bring this up so late but Willis Lockett fought at Cincinnati, Ohio last Saturday night. Willis fought 4rds split decision win over former olympian Dante Craig. It was scheduled for 6rds but referee stopped after 4rds. I could see momentum was going with Willis 1 or 2 more rounds of boxing Willis would have stopped Craig. After announcing the score cards, promoter tried to make this one a no contest. The bout is not listed on boxrec and I am going to find out if Fightfax has any information on this bout. Can they do that? Its a shame !! This 3rd fights taken away from Willis in last 4. Where is a justice in boxing? Can they do this?
ReplyDeleteThe bout is on Boxrec now. I will post fully later today. Thanks for the info.
