Wade Slated to Make Pro Debut in Tennessee Nov. 22; Jones Faces Debuting Olympian Nov. 29!

Largo, MD middleweight Dominic Wade is slated to make his pro debut on a "Fights at the Fitz" card at Fitzgerald's Hotel and Casino in Tunica, MS on Saturday, November 22.

The 18-year-old Wade is scheduled to battle veteran William "Pete" Johnson of Sardis, Mississippi (9-17-1, three KO's) in a four-round contest. Johnson has lost his last four, but has faced the likes of Andre Dirrell, Andre Berto, Robert Allen and John Duddy throughout his career.

One week later -- Saturday, November 29 -- DC junior middleweight Lawrence Jones is scheduled to be the opponent for debuting 2008 United States Olympian Shawn Estrada on the undercard of the Paul Williams-Verno Phillips bout at Citizen Business Bank Arena in Ontario, CA. Jones (2-1-1, one KO) has not fought since his draw with Lenwood Dozier on January 18 in Pikesville, MD.

Don't discount Jones in this one. He's a big, strong middleweight as well. Plus, he's left handed. You never know what's going to happen, he may be getting this kid at the right time. I'm pulling for Lawrence in this one.

How can you say jones is going to lose? He is a former All Army Boxer and could have been an olmpian as well! He is ver experienced and already knows what pro boxing is about. He was owning rivera until he broke his hand in that fight. He was sparring Jimmy Lange before Lange's last fight and was giving Lange a lot of problems, so as far as I am concerned you're talking out of your butt!

jimmy lange is a world class fighter, also a very large strong fighter. jones is a world class fighter who just hasn't decided to go after it until now. this isn't past olympic teams these guys were horrible, so don't try to jump on the band wagon after L.J. hurts this kids. this kid has no lateral movement he throws wide looping shots that you can see from a mile away.
