Stafford, VA heavyweight "The People's Champion" Jonathan Felton lost a four-round unanimous decision to Philadelphia's Anthony Gatt last night at the National Guard Armory in Philadelphia. The judge's scorecards were 38-37 (twice) and 39-37.
The loss is Felton's fourth in his last five bouts (the other was the no-contest against Askia Snyder in Glen Burnie in January) and drops his record to 5-12, five KO's. Gatt's record is 7-1-1, four KO's.
Another bout has been added to the Sugar Han Promotions/After Shock Events card on Saturday, October 18 at the ABC Sports Arena in Springfield, VA.
Centerville, VA middleweight Zain Shah will take on debuting Roy Cook of Gaithersburg in a four-round bout. Shah (1-0, one KO) has not fought since making his pro debut on February 4, 2006 at ABC. Shah scored a second-round TKO over Leo Edwards in that bout.

hey gary this is j. felton i believe if i had a manager i should at least be 13 and maybe 3losses... i knocked down gatt in the 2nd round and that should of been a 10-8 round plus i won the first using my jab more than he did.. i was out of town i came to philly to fight period. i had no manager, or trainer with me... there are some that got the best of me in this buisness as far as my record goes but when i get my mental part of this game right... i am going to surprise alot of people in 09 mark my word... BIG shout out too my people in no particular order, henry jones, ron boyd, riddick bowe, ray mercer,charles mooney andrew baker, joe hensley and asim plus my boy pat budd and dre hempfield for to this day believing in me..
Thanks for the kind words Jonathan. Keep training hard, keep working hard, and keep throwing those hard punches. You didn't have any amateur experience but what you have learned so far in the pro game has been extremely valuable. You're a dangerous fight for anyone you're put in against.
