A. Peterson Foe Announced For June 26 in Vegas!

The opponent for undefeated DC lightweight Anthony Peterson's Thursday, June 26 bout at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada has been announced.

His name is Fernando "The Thief" Trejo from Jarrell, TX by way of Mexico City. Trejo (30-13-4, 18 KO's) is a veteran who in the last few years has fought better-known competition including the likes of Ebo Elder, Agnaldo Nunes and Bobby Pacquiao, whom he lost to by TKO in the fourth round in his last outing on November 23 in Cabazon, CA.

Peterson (26-0, 19 KO's) is coming off an eighth-round TKO over Jose Antonio Izquierdo on January 4 in Biloxi, MS.

This contest will be the main event on the Versus Network.

Lamont Peterson (24-0, 11 KO's) will be on the Saturday, July 5 card from Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas as the televised co-feature. The opponent is still to be announced. This bout will be televised by Showtime.

Man G headbangers got a lot going on..lamont and anthony will be world champs soon and tony thompson will be heavy champ july 12!!! Barry hunter and andrew council is doing a great job along with boog and the rest of the headbangers team,, ty barnett is awsom they have agreat team over there fernado is doing great.... also they have antonio magruder who is ranked # 12 in the world in the cadet world rankings and # in the us... boy headbangers are doing a great job G.... thanks for all the updates.....I also wanted to let u no that magruder was amongst the world cadet rankings and he's the 2nd beltway cadet amature to be ranked in the top 15 in the world!!!!! BIg G, you also forgot to mention marcus gaddis and antonio magruder are also representing the beltway at the up and coming national junior olympics in marquett michigan.. Neither one of them had to fight in the regionals or locals they had bys straight to the nationals because they are ranked #1 and are on silver gloves teams.... think u need to post that big G! Marcus is from (srl).. Lets go beltway fighters this summer tony thompson witll be heavy weight champ! Headbangers!

Soon I see Barry getting the same recognition as Manny or Buddy M. Success is contagous. Surround your self with people that are serious about thier goals and your much more likely to attain them. Barry is setting up a system that will continue to grow and Boogie and Andrew are a big part of that. In the past there have been a lot of jelousy and haters but you can not argue with success.

Magruder and Marcus Gaddis are very talented boxers, but that ABA site is an independent (unofficial) and the author has made that clear. He said "The rankings don't make any difference to anything, its just fun, http://www.ababoxing.com is an Unofficial Independent website it is not the AIBA." However, there is no disputing that both of these boxers are currently ranked #1 in the US. Good luck to all the area boxers going to Marquette next week.
