Darnell "The Ding-A-Ling Man" Wilson lost a 12-round unanimous decision to WBA Cruiserweight champion Firat Arslan in Stuttgart, Germany this evening.
According to Fightnews.com's Wolfgang Schiffbauer, Arslan pressed the action from the opening bell, but both were cautious early on. Wilson upped the output in round two and Arslan did likewise in round three. Arslan's pressure pushed Wilson back as he appeared to be imposing his will. Rounds five and six were dominated by the champion, as Wilson mostly had no answers. With chances of a points win seemingly disappearing, the "Ding-A-Ling Man" started looking for a KO as the bout progressed, winging big shots in the eighth. Arslan responded in a punishing ninth round. Arslan landed almost at will in the tenth and went on to win handily by scores of 117-111, 117-111, 117-111.
With the loss, Wilson's record drops to 23-7-3, 20 KO's. Arslan's record rises to 29-3-1, 18 KO's.

Davis decision over norman, Davis won going away in a tough fight, but is too cute for his own good. He was in shape and showed flashes, he is still skilled, good knockdown in 2d. Cisneros devastating ko over allen. Cisnerso is tough, Allen was outclassed. Philly fighter wilson, short stocky destroyed debuting Mcconnell, hopefully McConnell never fights again. He was cute, lots of fanfare but was destroyed, must have never had an amatuer career. He looked in shape, but lacks skills. Good looking young kid, Martn sopted poskovic, Jeter decisions washingon. the other local fighter got ko'd.
This guy Arslan's defense is so tight, like Winky Wright's. And he stood right in front of Darnell up close and blocked damn near EVERYTHING Ding threw at him. And Ding threw quite a few punches.
And when Arslan did open up, it was with short, sharp punches... the stinging kind.
Ding tried everything in his arsenal but this cat Arslan is a very solid fighter.
