Lightweight contender Anthony Peterson remained undefeated by winning an eight-round unanimous decision over durable Marteze Logan last night in Tunica, MS.
According to BoxingTalk.com, Peterson landed solid combinations throughout the contest but Logan, who rarely gets stopped, stayed right in there and took Peterson's shots. The judge's cards were 79-71 (twice) and 78-72.
Peterson is now 24-0, 17 KO's while Logan falls to 25-29-2, six KO's.
By the way, the opponent for Lamont Peterson on Friday, Sept. 7 in Biloxi, MS has changed. Peterson will now face Frankie Santos of Salinas, Puerto Rico (15-3-3, seven KO's). Santos is winless in his last three bouts and has fought only twice since 2003. The bout is slated to be on ESPN2 as the co-feature to Zab Judah's bout.

Actually, Logan has only lost his last three, all against quality opposition -- Emmanuel Augustus, Damian Fuller and now Anthony Peterson.
This was just a stay busy fight. The opponent is quite credible and occasionally upset minded. Keep up the good work Ant.

Marteze Logan is a good fighter who has fought more real prospects at or around his weight than any other young fighter in the game. Throw out his record, this guy can fight. This is a good win for Peterson.

thats funny!if the promoters down here in va suck how come there are so many shows beeing promoted and "attended", and also if the fighters are so bad then get a stable of fighters and fight them, since they would be such an easy win. and i think what mr. farmer was refering to was all of his fighters, asssitant trainers and such. these people help this sport grow with every show they do so stop beeing a hater!!! and baltimores finest? who the hell up there is so bad?????

Sound to me like it's a jealous promoter trying to start static and pretending they are out of Baltimore. Most people affiliated with boxing in Baltimore have a lot more class than this hater-poster.
Yeah, it does sounds like someone is filled with jealousy. Why would Baltimore care if a promoter in another state is doing bad? It would only make them look better.
And, actually it really is pretty rich that Left Hook Boxing is producing consecutive solid and well attended shows.
