Baltimore heavyweight Jed Phipps lasted just 85 seconds against undefeated prospect Tony Grano at the Connecticut Expo Center in Hartford.
Grano, fighting in a main event for the first time in his pro career, wasted no time in jumping on Phipps, forcing the referee to issue a standing eight count one minute in before stopping the bout moments later.
Phipps is now 17-7, 10 KO's and has lost four in a row, three straight by knockout. Grano is 10-0-1, nine KO's.

Phipps is a BUM!
Phipps should retire. Grano is an average guy. Phipps has no chin and clearly just was fighting for the cash.
I bet, I can beat Phipps with no problem. I am only a welterweight.
I also would like to see Jed Phipps retire. He's not rugged enough to avoid getting bombed out by even average guys. Safety first, Jed, whether you love the sport or are just in it for the money. Time to retire for your own long-term good.
Were you there, does anyone know how he lost. I don't think so.... I didn't even say he got KO'd. So Shut the F up and lets see you get in there with an undefeated fighter, You all talk shit but nothing to back it up. YOu don't see him train and you haven't seen what he is capable of.
To Retire is to have no heart, so I believe he has heart. Has anyone followed Jed's carreer, he has only been Knock out once. Sorry but that doesn't seem like he doesn't have a chin to me. And how can you praise Dietrich a man who does nothing positive. Atleast Jed does boxing cause he loves it....
Jed is no longer capable of wining.His record for the last 4 or 5 fights speaks for itself.Either get serious or get going.
That's a joke. You get serious there are amazing fighters out there with worse records than Jed. Honestly, do you even follow boxing. If you did, you would be aware of that. Also, I guess if I was shooting steroids like some bmore fighters I would win too.... I wish they tested for that to embarass all these so called good fighters. You get serious.. K
