Digital: First of all, nice seeing you again (and thanks for introducing me to Discombobulating Jones; cool guy he is).
Now, the fights: -First off, started an HOUR+ late. -Fight 1: I thought Davis was dominating; I hope he ;earned never to toy with your opponent. -Fight 2: McClendon just up and quit? Kind of a [5 letter word that means cat] move IMO, but whatever. Cool to see Joppy fight though. -Fight 3: Boring IMO, though I did have Sanchez winning. -Fight 4: Fight of the night IMO, but controversial. Ice Man definitely had Alain on the ropes, but I think the ref was too quick to call it off.
I left after that, as I was exhausted. In all honesty, I've seen better.
The place was empty. The event was not well planned or promoted. There were no local ticket sellers and I never saw any fight posters. Too bad about Antwan. Brothers can still punch if nothing else.
After that disaster, I wonder will ESPN comeback for the next months card on the 25th of May. The DC ARMORY is like the DC Schools a shamble. The chairs came from across the street at Eastern High School. It was hot as hell in there. Theres no air conditioning in the ARmory so I can imagine the sauna in there in MAY. Better match making, better planned seating, better planned advertisment to get the word about the event would nice....The event was so under represented. IT might have been 70 people n there with the $4 bottles of water and the $3.75 bag of little chips...cray!!!!!! Nate do a betterjob with your show.....
