March looks like another exciting month of Beltway Boxing! There will be three scheduled area pro cards, another card that has a number of Beltway Boxers slated to appear and the seventh appearance for a Beltway Boxer on national television this year.
Here's what I know so far:
Thursday, March 8 -- Michael's Eighth Avenue, Glen Burnie, MD -- The first Ballroom Boxing card of 2007. Scheduled to appear are "Da Show Shock A" Tyrell Samuel and Ron "Teflon" Boyd along with the return of Carson McCourry and the pro debut of Danny Kisner.
Saturday, March 10 -- Pikesville National Guard Armory, Pikesville, MD -- Baltimore Pro Boxing card featuring Jessie "The Beast" Nicklow, Mike "The Persecutor" Paschall, and "The Golden Greek" Elias Boulbassis
Saturday, March 10 -- Best Western Conference Center, Winchester, VA -- Dean "Pitbull" White slated to headline this Squared Circle Promotions card.
Friday, March 16 -- Rockingham Park, Salem, NH -- Former IBF Featherweight champion Eric "Mighty Mouse" Aiken faces Valdemir Pereira in an IBF elimination bout on ESPN2. The winner is scheduled to get a shot at new champion Robert Guerrero, who just regained the title. Guerrero defeated Aiken to win his first title. Aiken won the title from Pereira.
Saturday, March 24 -- Rosecroft Raceway, Fort Washington, MD -- This one has been announced but the date could change. This is a Sugar Han Productions card that is scheduled to have Oliver McCall returning along with USBA Cruiserweight champion Emmanuel "Chukwu" Nwodo.
