Changes to March 10 Winchester Card!

There are a couple of big changes on the Saturday, March 10 Squared Circle Promotions card at the Best Western Conference Center in Winchester, VA.

Dean "Pitbull" White is now off the show. White aggravated a shoulder injury in his loss to Verquan Kimbrough on February 22 in Chester, WVA.

Former WBA Heavyweight champion "The Atlantic City Express" Bruce Seldon has been added to the card. Seldon (36-6, 32 KO's) recently made his return to the ring after a two-year absence by scoring a first-round TKO over Marcus Rhode on February 10 in Philadelphia.

Seldon is scheduled to take on Travis Fulton of Cedar Falls, IA (15-17, 15 KO's). Fulton's nickname is "Ironman" but recently he has been anything but that. Fulton has lost four of his last five bouts by technical knockout inside three rounds. This includes Fulton's last bout, a third-round TKO loss to another returning boxer
-- Lou Savarese -- on January 18.

What happened to White? Why is he off the card?

I was told he sold hundreds of tickets.

Get well soon.

Dean White aggreviated a left shoulder injury on Feb 22nd Fight. He has been advised by his doctor not to fight out of fear of a more permanent injury. His tickets have been handled.

If you get a chance to watch Dean's fight closely, note how the referee stares Dean down and talks to him In what I think is an attempt to take Dean off his game. It clearly worked same as it did on the Clay fight With the same referee

IbarB that's because Dean was avoiding punches by ducking down and allowing them to go over his head. The ref wanted Dean to stand up straight so he could get hit. If you notice most missed punches went over Dean's head.

I don't know how Kimbrough was able to see Dean. He had to see thru the back of the Referees head. I thought the Refree was to stay out of the way and observe and not to virtually place himself between the fighters.
I guess you are right, a fighter shouldn't be allowed avoid punches.
That would be considered defense

I was at the weigh in. Seldon weighed 230 and looked like a BEAST! His opponent was 229. After seeing McCall 259 VS. Mo Wilson I find it hard to believe a 41 year old 259 pound McCall could beat THIS 230 pound obviously rededicated Seldon! Can't wait to see him fight and see what he has left!

Seldon looked like a beast and could possibly work himself back into contention, believe it or not. He is clearly better than Oliver McCall at this point. Reggie Sanders beat espinosa and got robbed. Robles earned a hard fought win over Lenzie Morgan in a good learning experience. Ibn Ali showed some power but needs to sharpen up his defense. Perry Ballard keeps on mowing down the opposition, just hope his loss to Jimmy Lange doesn't prevent him from fighting the mayweather-delahoya winner! just kidding, perry looked pretty good tho. Kay Koroma scored a devastating KO.
