You the man Tony! Don't forget, you got a rack of fans down here in VA too.

Tony, congrats on a great year.

To Digital, not sure where else to post this, but you need to talk to the powers that be and start beating the drums to land that Feb. 3rd Showtime card here in DC. Miami fell through, why not DC?

Oh, The Digital one deliverin' baby! Job well done...

No doubt T.T has been avoided folks. Timor Ibragimov would not be my first choice, but it would be a decent choice of opponent (I think T.T would beat him) and at this point activity is what he needs. There is another tall 35 yr.old hvy who is in kind of a similar boat as Tony; Ohio's Ray Austin. Nobody seems to want to fight Ray either -- perhaps those two could fight?

Just an idea...

(They are both deserving of a good payday without a doubt. I hope one or both can get that in 2007.)

Hmm...I just read that Austin may be fighting Klitschko in March, so that would rule out that possibility if the case. I think Vlad will probably win, but Ray has a chance, and definetly deserves the good payday.

P.S - Feb.3rd card...The Adamek-Dawson one? If so, that is a SUPERB matchup, and one of the best of the year! A real 'fight-fan's fight' right there! * I am giving a SLIGHT edge to the young, tall, and speedy Birmingham-trained Dawson in that one. But Adamek is good, and that is just a VERY interesting matchup.

Bizzy,

Don't neglect to opening fight of that card, Diaz vs. Chavez. I am actually more excited for that one.

I think Dawson can win as long as he doesn't get lured into a "fight" with Adamek.

Yeah, I know that this site is to publicize DC and B-more area fighters but that Feb. 3rd card is a true fight fans card. I have heard that Showtime is showing all three title fights.

T.T. is a tremendous fighter. I wish they'd keep hime busier, even if it's against journeymen. Activity is very important.

Anonymous said...

Totally agreed guys. Activity is the main thing for T.T at this point, and that SHO card is indeed quality from top-to-bottom!

I just noticed that the Thompson-(Timor) Ibragimov fight for Feb.16th has been confirmed, and will be on Fox Sports. Good decision by Thompson. It may not be a big money fight, Timor may not be a world beater, but he's a decent fringe-contender and should not be overlooked. It will be for Tony to get back in the ring and get more exposure. And speaking of 'good exposure'...It's at The Playboy Mansion for god's sakes! ("Hey, take care of business first Tony!" LOL)

Tony need Don King that's who has most of the champions. Do you think he would let his fighters fight Tony and he's not with him. Only In America Nate Peak and Jeff Fried can't get in done.

Anonymous said...

Well...As much as I have 'mixed feelings' about Don King, at 35 -- it may not be a bad idea for Tony to go with him. Another guy that has done a very good job lately is Scott Hirsch of Florida. (Briggs & McCline)

Tony is a great fighter. He can fight both ways and fighters are scared that he can fight southpaw. It shows you that Nata isn't all what he said. The only connects he have in boxing is the Goossens that's all. You see what they to Tye. You have on the best kept secrets in boxing. Nate stop faking and get him with Don. If you do that he will fight for a title this year. Ooh you can't do that because you ruined your friendship with Don trying to sue him for your supposely cousin Sharmba.

This is nate peake and everybody is entitled to their own opinion but i think our team has done a very good job with tony since we bought him out of his contract with cedrick cushner, who just had him sitting,i was contacted by one of T.T closes friends who had watch what i had accomplish in boxing and knew we could help tony, who was not ranked in the the top 20 and now ranked 11, 7, 6 in three of the 4 sanctionbodies,so now let me explain some of my company accomplishments, first the name of the company is called PMG boxing i have been involved in boxing for 18 yrs as long as sharmba been profes sional starting out with adrian davis and frank gebb who was bay's first promoter i played the back by this being new to me and adrian being a professional fighter and trainer and a mentor to all of us a that time in our life thats me and kenny wills who was my partner at the time, things did'nt work out with gebb so we starting working with rock newman and jeff fried who at time had a up coming heavyweight in ridock bowe, we had a good run with rock, bay got hot an poular an the wolves came coming from everywere meaning other promotors, bay and adrian wanted too go with murad muhamaad me and kenny and gregg mccorick who started out as sharmba accountant but now is a pmg exec who been with us from the start wanted to stay with rock and jeff, but by it being bays carear we gave in, then we went back to rock an jeff then we became atop 2 contender an bowe was the heavyweight champion of the world, none of the champions wanted to fight bay, so we fought an eliminator against lavander johnson with the winner getting a tittle shot, bay lost, come back an had a fight with a fighter name stevie johnson an losses again on natinal tv,bay takes a break for about ayear an half, so kenny goes an do his thing an so does gregg they were tired of boxing. roc an jeff offer me a consultant jobb with spencer promotion, over them years i learned the promotional part of the bussiness with roc an jeff heip an during that process i dealt with don king bob arum the duvas an other promoters when roc retired jeff was bought on to be the general consel for an new company called AMERICAN PRESENT i became an consultant for them an this gave me a chance to start my own company, AMERICAN PRESENT became a major force quick in the business, signing david reid the olmpic gold medal winner of 96 games signing bernard hopkins, will guithe, david tua, hector camocho jr an many more, this gave my first opportunity to promote my first championship fight as far as pmg remember i became part of spencer promotion but this was nate peake i bought the fight from AMERICAN PRESENTS that's what made that situation good it gave me freedom to do what i wanted to do that fight was bernard hopkins against andrew council at the show place area in Upper Marlboro MD.

it was andrew first world title fight bernard was not a reconize pound 4 pound fighter yet but reconize as the top middle weight at the time, keith holmes was a champion an joppy had just lost his title it was goog oppertuniyt for andrew who still thanks me to this day an good for the area to bring a championship fight to M.D,not to mention i lost a lot of money that's boxing, along with bernard adviser at the time al taylor who help him along with one of my attorneys kio oden get out of his agrement with butch lewis the promotor, dan goosen at that time was the president of AMER PRES an has his own company GOOSEN TUTOR now an toney has been fighting under his banner, because no body else wanted to help toney because they said he was boring they knew nothing about him talking about other promotors,an for the anonymous coward that said i can't call king because of me suieing him of sharmba thats not true i did, i have cool relationship with king as i do with most of the promotors my company represents other management company such as J PRINCE BOXING who at one time represented floyd mayweather, winky wright an still diego coralles we did mark johson 50/50 joint venture when he was release from prison an he became world champion again we reprepesented shane mosley when he jumped from 135 to 147 his first fight with us was at 147 for tremdous more money then he had every made his next fight was delahoya the rest is boxing history kio bought the mosley deal to the table she is one of the best sports an entertainment attorneys in the business ask around she has her own company but still works for me when j prince started in boxing it was with us an we are still together, me and jeff fried are partners and will be partners to death do us part roc newman is still part of our company an is envolve when needed, we were one the promotors for the tyson event it was marty dream an vision thats raging promotion but ask him could he had done it with out us, an if u are a true boxing fan u would know that PMG BOXING was the lone promotor for the TYSON AND LEWIS FIGHT that was going to be in D.C IN 2002 WHEN tyson was banned from boxing in the united states an we got the city to aprove him, an lewis came up with acuse not to come to D.C, an to answer the tye question we are just helping barry advise him, an tye would tell u he should have won the fight an we still have been looking into the fighter he fought an we will find out the truth an get to the bottom of it an what ever barry needs me to do he know i will do it to the best of my ability an i know he will do the same for me we have been friends for over 10 years now an he has became part of the pmg family,so thats just a little on nate peake an pmg we also represent NBA PLAYERS an heip alot of fighters from md, dc, virgina area an will continue, tony will get his shot at a title an he knows it we cant make nobody get in the ring but we know how to postion our fighters, gary also me and barry would like have a sit down with you an keep u updated with whats going on in our stable, an u can give the people some more about us forgive the miss types an spelling in the middle of a trade.

Hey Nate!

Thanks for the information! We'll be talking soon!

Nate,

So are you Tony's Manager, Promoter, Advisor, or what? If you got him the fight with Ibragimov, that's a great fight for you because Tony crushes that guy. Really, Tony can beat all the heavyweights out there if he gets a chance.

Thanks for all of the info. Is Tony under a promotional contract with Goosen? Would you work with other local promoters in Maryland, DC, or Virginia to put Tony Thompson in one of those states say against Hasim Rahman or somebody like that? That would be a great fight for the area!

Anonymous said...

Man Nate all that sound good. But what's next. You do a lot of faking. You did what. nothing and You clap yourself on the back for nothing. You suppose to do that when you are working with or for someone. And Sharmba is over he's a bum. You got on a good bandwagon. I guess you would do that for Barry you want the Brothers. What about Tye after you and your fake cousin set him up. You just Chris. m m m. Ohh that's your match maker.

Nate,

Guys will come out of the woodwork hating on you. Unfortunately, that's just the way it is on this webpage. Almost every promoter, manager, fighter, etc. in the area has been put down, hated on, and talked trash about. Don't worry about it. Tony Thompson can fight. If you're dealing with Middendorf, that may be a mistake. But Tony is so good, he'll make up for that one. Bring a fight to the area with Tony The Tiger!
