Best ring entrance -- JP Flaim December 9th
Goodwill Gesture of the Year- Joe Hensley for paying full purses on Oct. 7th to the fighters who were caught on the wrong side of the Patriot Center curfew, and to the one whose opponent flunked his physical....And a close runner up would be Mike Sawyer for donating his entire purse that evening to Darfur relief.

Worst chin for those involved in a Beltway area fight: Henry Mayes, Jed Phipps

Best Beltway Referee -- Malik Waleed
Best Beltway Photographer Linda Siadys

I love it! The put your money where your mouth is award! You've got to give it to that guy J.P. Flaim. I just watched that fight again over the internet and he got crushed! However, he did something I always wanted to do, so my hat's off to him. What was he thinking?
Discombobulating Jones is a great ring announcer! Smooth as silk with a touch of class!
Dean White should be the Comeback fighter of the year. I still think he lost to Spivey but he has under rated skills. He's more than just a tough guy.
Malik Walid is definitely a good referee but so is that new guy in Virginia, the young white guy? Don't know his name. What happened to Joe Cooper?
I've got one for you that wasn't listed. Best announce crew to Digital Williams and The Fight Dr. Jerome Spears! You guys do a great job commentating on the Patriot Center fights. I think you're just as good as anyone that does the sport and I would love to see more of your work!

The referee I think you are referring to is Vic DeWysocki. He is a solid referee and I look forward to seeing more of him.
The oustanding Joe Cooper is still around. He still does work some in Virginia but he is head of referees in DC as well.
That is one aspect that the entire Beltway can be proud of. There are truly some great referees all throughout the area in DC, MD and VA!
