they put him in against a guy that has been in four 12-round title fights? not to mention he probably had atleast 20 unrecorded fights in mexico.... huh?????
Gonzalez had 9 twelve round fights, 3 ten round fights and an eight round fight before his four round draw with Barnette. Ty has six four round fights and a couple of six round fights before meeting this guy! Gonzalez had fought 120 rounds against guys with combined records of 236 wins and 74 losses. Ty had fought a total of 19 rounds against opponents with combined records of 25 wins and 39 losses. When Ty returns home he should immediately fire whoever it is that has advised him in his career and sue him/her for malpractice. It is a tribute to his abilities that he ended up with a draw certainly, but what a waste to throw him in like that. Someone must have been desperate for a little money or made some other deal that Ty knows nothing about. This is a good example of how people who think they know what they are doing can ruin a young fighters career. Very sad.
Berrie Hunter suggested that we take the fight. He told us that it would open the doors for a possible title fight in the future. We do not blame Berrie because we actually thought we won the fight anyway.
Ty keep your head up. Thats what happen in boxing. You fought a got dam good fighter and a tough cookie. You haven't fought a bum a all so what's next for him.I thought Sharmba was his manager got dam with a manager like that he;s no better than Chris MMM.
According to Boxrec.com, Gonzalez's record is 7-5-2, three KO's.
His career started in 1994 and he has been fighting continuously since 2004. He did take some breaks in between.
He has fought and won a number of bouts for the Mexican Lightweight title but has lost when he fought for the WBA Continental lightweight and junior welterweight crown.

ReplyDeleteTy did Chris Middendorf make this fight for you?
ReplyDeleteTom Brown is the matchmaker for Goosen Tudor and he made the fight after getting the approval from Tye Barnett's camp.
ReplyDeletePlease respond if you know anything definite about what Gonzalez's record was
