Catching Up on Beltway Boxers...

Thanks to "Money" Mike Sawyer for alerting me to a couple of results concerning Beltway Boxers that went under the radar.

On June 17, undefeated lightweight prospect Thomas "KO" Snow of Capitol Heights won a four-round unanimous decision over Waldo Rangel in Winston-Salem, NC. Snow is now 4-0, two KO's.

Also on the 17th, Front Royal, VA welterweight Andrew Farmer remained undefeated by scoring a second-round KO over DeAngelo Ginyard in Martinsburg, WVA. Farmer is 2-0, two KO's.

Is that the same "Money" Mike Sawyer who fell off the September 2005 Keystone show at the Patriot Center for what was supposed to be his ProDebut in his own hometown?

If so, talk about a fighter that you can't trust on anything, except maybe other fighters fight results...at least they can be verified by outside sources. Mike Sawyer is a fraud, a liar, and much worse. Hopefully the VA commission has stopped requiring him to drug test. I bet that can be very time consuming and costly to a fighter after awhile. Granted he is now 2-0, but he fought bums. His whole game is to make money off the local ticket buyers and get himself into easy fights that he can win. This guy is a disgrace to real boxers who put their heart and soul into what they can become. This guy is a fraud who can throw a few punches but has no heart, and no chin. It'll be a long ring dance for Money Mike the first time he has to fight a real boxer.

Sounds you are another very jealous person. Why r u so jealous over Mike??? Is he doing better than you ever did? Leave the guy alone! Why would he fight someone that he could lose to so early in his carrerr? You must be a retard or very close to it.

I think he is jealous of Mike and the friends that he has. I know Mike very well and he is a decent and trusting gentleman.

Actually I worked back stage at that fight, dehydrated was the official excuse given, but the VA commission put that together with the fact that the director of the VA commission had witnessed Mike at the weigh in the day before and said that he was "high on something, possibly cocaine or another speed like substance" at the weigh in. The VA commission director is a former cop, so I would wager that he knows what he is talking about. Also, there were a few people that had bought tickets to watch him fight that came to a young lady who was working for the promotional company and demanded a refund on their tickets. After thay did not receive it, they stated "I never should've bought a ticket to watch that bum, he was probably out getting high all night." When he tried to get onto the card in February, I was told he had to drug test, so hopefully he's cleaned up his act. You all know what he wants you to know, and others, like the crowd Mike use to do drugs with at PJ Skidoos, know the truth. Maybe that is the old Mike Sawyer, maybe he has cleaned up his act, if so, he's still not much of a boxer.

Digital, can you comment on any of this?

Only to say it is completely in error.

I can't attest for his boxing skill. What I can attest for is the fact that more coke has been through his nose then the columbian jungle. He is a low rent drug addict with very low self confidence. The night before his big fight he was downtown at Club Spank getting zapped on coke with his boy Matt. He also drinks all the time. I know he loves to box and I feel bad for him. Someday he will wake up and understand that he destroyed what he loves by doing drugs. His girlfriend has recently dumped him and he has been a wild streak so look for him to be super focused or messed up at his next fight. My money is on messed up.
