The Capitol Gloves are taking place this Saturday, May 13 at the DC Armory. In this interview, Nat Williams, the founder of the Boxing Information Center, talks about this event.
I take a class with Russell Davis, who teaches out of Mid-Town and the Thomas Circle gym. He is the only reason I knew about the regional golden gloves and the capital gloves events. I just can't believe the boxing community's lack of web presence!

Gary-
Great blog!
I thin the DC area would be well served by some sort of on-line events Calendar. Who hears about things like Capital Gloves except by word of mouth??
I do try to keep mentioning the upcoming events in the area. But I can't be the only voice.

I noticed that the audioblog says that the event statrts at 2 p.m, but my coach said 4 p.m....any updates, Digital?
Thanks...
I was told that everything will start around 2 pm. The weigh-in will be at 9 am.
Knowing how boxing events are, they, unfortunately, won't start on time anyway.
I would come around two if I were you though.
