The opponents have been selected for undefeated DC prospects Anthony and Lamont Peterson's appearance on Showtime's "ShoBox" Friday, April 28 in New Town, North Dakota.
Older brother Lamont Peterson, 16-0 (7 KOs), will face once-beaten “Mayhem’’ Matthew Strode, 20-1 (9 KOs), of Greensboro, North Carolina, in a 10-round bout. Peterson is coming off a 10-round unanimous decision win over Jose Leo Moreno on February 17 in Memphis, TN for the WBC United States Light Welterweight title. Strode has won 10 straight since his loss to Martinus Clay in June 2004. Strode is coming off an eight-round unanimous decision win over Ruben Galvan on January 19 in Charlotte, NC.
Anthony Peterson, 16-0 (13 KOs), will take on unbeaten Jermaine “Two Sweet” White, 12-0 (7 KOs), of Gary, Indiana, in an eight rounder. Peterson scored a third-round TKO over Steve Verdin on March 11 in Tunica, MS. White is coming off a third-round TKO over Ike Ezeji on November 3 in Hammond, IN.
The card will be promoted by Brian Young’s Prizefight Boxing. The telecast represents the 75th in the “ShoBox” series.

We need to get the Peterson brothers to fight here .. Barry whats up Man why aren't they fighting here more ofton
I've asked Barry that question and the Peterson's promoters have asked me that question.
According to people I have spoken to (and take this for whatever its worth), there seems to be an undercurrent of jealousy towards the Petersons because of their success.
Because of this situation, it has been hard for the Petersons to find bouts here.
I am not sure if that is true or not, but that is what has been told to me.
It'd be great for Lamont and Anthony to fight locally. They are good dudes inside and outside the ring and Barry is a hell of a good guy too. Aside from that, it can only mean more $$$ and publicity for DC fighters if two nationally recognized prospects fight here in their hometown anyway.
Bo
I can say this much. There are people in the area (and I can't name names) who are working to bring the Petersons here for a card.
Hopefully, they will follow through on their work.
