Landover, MD light heavyweight "King" James McCallister lost a 10-round majority decision to "Notorious" Jason Naugler of Halifax, Nova Scotia last night in Halifax.
According to the Halifax Chronicle Herald, both men fought gamely and received a standing ovation from the crowd of 1,200 for their efforts. Naugler won the bout despite breaking his right hand in the first round.
The Chronicle Herald article says McCallister gave a solid effort, surviving Naugler's best punches and showing a willingness to go toe-to-toe with him. One judge scored the bout a draw at 95-95, but two other judges had the bout for Naugler at 96-94.
McCallister's record is now 11-6-1, three KO's. Naugler raised his record to 14-5-1, nine KO's.
