I've covered the Boxing scene in the Washington, DC/Baltimore area for 36 years. I was inducted into the Washington, DC Boxing Hall of Fame in November, 2009. I am also a feature writer for Fightnews.com. I was the play-by-play announcer on the TV series "Boxing Spotlight" which highlighted pro boxing along the Beltway. Jones you must have lost your damn mind. How dare you campare yourself to the famous Michael Buffer. You should be lucky to be part of a damn local amature show. I have know you since 1988 and have never once heard you whine like this. How can you possibly blame this stuff on Rock Newman. You are just saying this because Rock Newman is 83% white. We need to stop blaming others for our downfalls. I can remember in 1989 and in 1993 when you messed up so bad that the crwod booed you for 6 minutes straight. Rock Newman is not a racist. You must remember the man is 27% black and is very proud of his Proctor heritage. I do wish you luck in the future but you need to take a look in the mirror and stop looking for excuses. Like Larry Holmes once said, you could not hold Michael Buffers jock strap. Stop at the barber shop this week and talk to us, for we all feel the same way. Rock Newman has did plenty for professional boxing in the metro area. Tye you take up for him for all the wrong reasons. You like him because you give him shape-ups and because he is related to the Swans, Harleys, Butlers, Thompsons and the Proctors. But there is much more to the man than that. He is a good hearted smart decision person. If he did not use Jones for any of Bowes fights, he did it for a reaon. He truly is not at the top of his game right now. I do not see him doing any of the Petersons, Jimmy Lange, Pearson, Sugar Poo on a regulr basis. It is not only Rock Newman who chooses others. So Jones get a life and focus on getting better instead of crying all the time. You have been teary eyed for years now and I am sick of hearing it. Now Tye you need to get a grip on yourself. You are a damn barber who thinks he knows about everything. In fact, it was you who swore Shamba Mitchell would beat Floyd Mayweather. Now you think he has a chance against Paul Williams. Tye you must be nuts!!! I personally think you and Jones should get an apartment together. Both of you are full of it... You can argue over who is going to do the dishes.
I hope both of you choose another line besides mine. Furthermore, switch from Safeway to Giant and I will not even hear you two babies crying in the pamper isle.
