A split decision for Beltway Boxers in the Keystone State of Pennsylvania on Saturday. Columbia, MD super middleweight Ashton "The Goon" Sykes won a four-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Isiah Hart of Mays Landing, NJ at the Pittsburgh Shrine Center in Cheswick, PA. Sykes took the bout by scores of 40-36 (twice) and 39-37. Sykes is now 5-3, one KO while Hart drops to 5-1-1, three KO's.
At the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA, super lightweight Dieumerci "Elephant" Nzau of Silver Spring, MD by way of the Democratic Republic of the Congo lost a six-round unanimous decision to Samuel "Tsunami" Teah of Philadelphia by way of Liberia. Teah would win by scores of 60-53 (twice) and 59-54. Nzau falls to 11-12, eight KO's while Teah rises to 17-3-1, seven KO's.
