The TGB Promotions card slated for Saturday, March 14th at MGM National Harbor Casino in Oxon Hill, MD is now complete. There will be five Beltway Boxers on the card and one of them will be on the FS1 telecast, beginning at 8 PM ET.
Undefeated Hyattsville, MD featherweight Cobia "The Soldier" Breedy will be in a 10-round contest against Eugene "Rambo" Lagos of Valencia City, Bukidnon, Philippines. Breedy (15-0, five KO's) is coming off a six-round TKO victory over Titus Williams on December 7th in Brooklyn, NY. Lagos (16-5-3, 11 KO's) scored a first-round TKO over Michael Padayag on April 5th in Malaybalay, Philippines. This is the bout that will begin the FS1 telecast.
Glenarden, MD lightweight Drayvontay Speed Rawls will be in an eight-round encounter against Clay "3rd Degree" Burns of Fort Worth, TX. Speed Rawls (13-1-1, eight KO's) last fought on November 2nd at the MGM National Harbor Casino and won an eight-round unanimous decision over Wanzell Ellison. Burns (9-7-2, four KO's) broke a two-bout losing streak by winning a six-round unanimous decision over Dartrell Smith on February 8th in Opelousas, LA. This will be the second Beltway Boxer that Burns has faced. He lost an eight-round unanimous decision to Patrick Harris in January of 2019 in Brooklyn.
In an all-Beltway six-round bout, undefeated Landover, MD welterweight Tyrek "I.G.B." Irby will take on once-beaten Cornell "Hitman" Hines of Washington, DC. Irby (9-0, three KO's) fought on the November 2nd card at MGM National Harbor Casino and won an eight-round unanimous decision over Joaquin Chavez. Hines (5-1, two KO's) looks to bounce back from his first pro loss, a six-round unanimous decision defeat to Eben Vargas on August 30th in Pasadena, CA.
Baltimore, MD welterweight Aaron Anderson will compete in a six-round bout against Jose "Rated R" Carlos Rivera of Manchester, CT. Anderson (6-0, four KO's) won a six-round unanimous decision over Akeem Black on August 31st in Minneapolis, MN. Rivera (8-4-1, five KO's) battled Richard Acevedo to a six-round draw on August 22nd in Indio, CA.
Baltimore female super featherweight Mia "Killer Bee" Ellis will be in a four-round contest against Mikenna Tansley of Alberta, Canada. Ellis (1-0, one KO) made a successful pro debut scoring a first-round TKO over Uneaka Best on December 28th in Atlanta, GA. Tansley (3-0, one KO) comes off a four-round unanimous decision victory over Ana Ruth Castro on December 6th in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The rest of the card looks like this: The main event will be a 10-round contest between San Antonio, TX super welterweight "The Mandingo Warrior" James Kirkland and Mark Anthony "Madman" Hernandez of Fresno, CA. Kirkland (34-2, 30 KO's) comes off a second-round knockout win over Jas Phipps on November 9th in San Antonio. Hernandez (14-3-1, three KO's) lost an eight-round unanimous decision to Kevin Newman II in his last outing on November 1st in Las Vegas, NV.
The co-feature has undefeated Oxnard, CA welterweight Eimantas Stanionis battle "The Chosen One" Justin DeLoach of Augusta, GA in a 10-round bout. Stanionis, a native of Lithuania (10-0, seven KO's), scored a third-round knockout over Julio Cesar Sanchez on December 21st in Ontario, Canada. DeLoach (18-4, nine KO's) comes off a tough 10-round split decision loss to Terrell Williams on April 27th in Las Vegas.
In an eight-round contest, Jonathan "Diamante" Esquivel of Anaheim, CA takes on Dormedes Potes of Barranquilla, Colombia. Esquivel (13-0, 12 KO's) has knocked out his last five opponents, including a first-round knockout of Bryant McClain on November 15th in Sloan, IA. One of the other knockouts in the streak was a first-round KO of Gregory Clark on July 13th in Carson, CA. Potes (12-2-1, nine KO's) competes in the United States for the first time after winning by fourth-round stoppage over Luis Guillermo Berrio on October 18th in Sabanalarga, Colombia.
Welterweight "The Machine Gun Kid" Livan Navarro of Miami, FL by way of Cuba, will be in an eight-round bout against DeMarcus Layton of Little Rock, AK. Navarro (11-0, seven KO's) comes off an eight-round unanimous decision win over former world title challenger Breidis Prescott on May 10th in Hollywood, FL. Layton (8-1-1, five KO's) knocked out Brandon Baue in the second round on September 21st in Little Rock.
Marietta, GA super middleweight Eric Moon competes in a six-round bout against Devaun Lee of Jamaica, Queens, NY. Moon (11-2, six KO's) last fought on September 28th and lost a 10-round unanimous decision to Mike Guy in Atlanta, GA. Lee (10-7-1, five KO's) makes his second straight appearance in Maryland. On October 18th, Lee lost an eight-round unanimous decision to Demond Nicholson at Live! Casino in Hanover, MD.
The doors will open on Saturday, March 14th at 4 PM ET and the first bout begins at 5 PM. There will be preliminary bouts shown on FS1 beginning at 6:30 PM and the main telecast starts at 8 PM.
