First Beltway Boxing Card In Vienna, VA On February 8th!

The first Beltway Boxing card of 2020 will take place on Saturday, February 8th at Tyson's Playground in Vienna, VA.  This will be an Old School Boxing promotions card.

In the main event, undefeated DC middleweight Dusty Hernandez Harrison will be in the main event taking on veteran Les "Lock and Load" Sherrington of Broadbeach, Queensland, Australia.  The bout is scheduled for eight rounds.  Harrison (33-0-1, 19 KO's) comes off a seventh-round TKO over Juan DeAngel on July 19th in Oxon Hill, MD.  Sherrington (38-14, 22 KO's) broke a four-bout losing streak in his last outing by stopping Keon Johnson in the seventh-round on December 14th in Indianapolis, IN.  Harrison will be the second local boxer that Sherrington has faced.  Sherrington lost by four-round TKO to Antoine Douglas in November of 2015 in Las Vegas, NV.

Upper Marlboro, MD heavyweight Mike "Silverback" Balogun will look to remain undefeated when he will be in an eight-round co-feature bout against an opponent to be determined.  Balogun (15-0, 11 KO's) scored a first-round knockout win against Mike Bissett on October 24th in Washington, DC.

Elkridge, MD lightweight "The Red Comet" Dante Cox will be in a six-round contest against Angel Albelo of Kissimmee, FL by way of Puerto Rico.  Cox (5-1, three KO's) has won two straight since his loss to Drayvontay Speed Rawls on March 8th.  In his last outing, Cox won a four-round unanimous decision over Elliott Brown on December 7th in Sterling, VA.  Albelo (4-11-3, one KO) has not fought since December 7th of 2018 when he lost by fourth-round TKO to Juan Eduardo Avila in Tampa, FL.

In an all-Fort Washington, MD four-round middleweight contest, Ian "Dancer" Cokley will battle "Platinum Power" Leo Alcantara Perez.   Cokley won his pro debut in August of 2018 taking a unanimous decision over Carlos Cruz in Sterling, VA.  Perez (3-0, one KO) scored his first pro knockout, getting a third-round stoppage of DeAndre West on June 29th in Laurel, MD.

Other bouts are to be announced.
