Beltway Boxers Compete At 2020 US Olympic Team Trials In Louisiana!

A group of local amateurs will be competing for a spot on the 2020 United States Olympic team this week in Lake Charles, LA.

The first day of competition took place Monday and Alexandria, VA middleweight Troy Isley began his journey with a unanimous decision win over Alex Chisolm of Hialeah Gardens, FL.  Isley is the top seed in the Middleweight Division.

Kelvin Davis, the brother of Keyshawn Davis of Alexandria won his bout at 152 pounds, defeating Victor Aranda of El Paso, TX by a 3-2 score.  Keyshawn Davis, who is the top seed at 138 pounds, won his bout with a 4-1 decision over Marcell Davidson of Shawnee, KS.

Other locals scheduled to compete include Amelia Moore of Alexandria and Nasheed Smith of Washington, DC.
