Two local boxers will appear on a TGB Promotions card on Saturday, August 3rd at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Undefeated Hyattsville, MD featherweight Cobia "The Soldier" Breedy will participate in his first scheduled 10-round contest when he battles Ryan "Stone" Lee Allen of Las Vegas, NV by way of Jackson, MI.
Breedy (13-0, four KO's) is coming off a six-round technical decision victory over Fernando Fuentes on March 24th at the MGM National Harbor Casino in Oxon Hill, MD. Fuentes suffered a bad cut after a headbutt and could not continue. This will be the first road trip for the native of Bridgetown, Barbados.
Allen (9-3-1, four KO's) last fought on April 6th and won an eight-round unanimous decision over Edwin Tercero in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Prior to that bout, Allen also appeared on the March 24th card in Oxon Hill and lost a six-round split decision to Ramon Cardenas. This will also be the first 10-round bout for Allen.
Also scheduled to be on this card is District Heights, MD welterweight "The Next Big Thing" Keeshawn Williams who will be in a six-round bout against an opponent to be determined. Williams (5-0-1, one KO) also competed on the March 24th card in Oxon Hill and won a six-round unanimous decision over Evincii Dixon. After that bout, Williams was involved in a domestic dispute near his home which resulted in Williams shooting and killing a man in self-defense. Williams was not charged in the incident.
