Two Baltimore, MD boxers will represent the Beltway on the Matchroom Boxing card on Saturday, May 25th at the MGM National Harbor Casino in Oxon Hill, MD.
Super middleweight Lorenzo "Truck" Simpson will be in a four-round contest against Rafael Garcia of Tucson, AZ. Simpson (3-0, two KO's) makes his second straight trip to the MGM National Harbor Casino. Last time, Simpson won a four-round unanimous decision over Jaime Meza on March 24th. Garcia (9-2, six KO's) is looking to bounce back from a six-round unanimous decision loss to Daryl Cunningham on February 8th in Detroit, MI.
Lightweight Mack "Papi" Allison IV is a late addition to this card and will battle Luis Gerardo Perez Salas of Puebla, Mexico in a six-round bout. Allison (9-2-1, seven KO's) is coming off a four-round unanimous decision over Darel Harris on January 26th in Waldorf, MD. Salas (5-2, one KO) competes for the first time in the United States and is looking to break a two-bout losing streak. Salas last fought in May of 2018 and was stopped in the fifth round by Edwin Palomares in Mexico City.
Today's weigh-in will be open to the public beginning at 3 PM at the National Harbor at the Pier Tent located next to the Capital Wheel Pier at 165 Waterfront Street in Oxon Hill.
