There will be a pro boxing card at the Waldorf Cultural Center on Saturday, June 1st. Cynation Sports will serve as promoters.
In a six-round contest, Washington, DC super middleweight Gregory "Glizzy" Clark will take on Aaron Casper of Augusta, GA. Clark (3-3-1, one KO) will look to break a two-bout losing streak. In his last outing, Clark was knocked out in the first round by Edgar Berlanga on September 29th in Brooklyn, NY. Casper, who is originally from Baltimore, MD (5-2, four KO's) has also lost two in a row and is coming off a four-round majority decision loss to Darryl Jones on May 10th in Atlanta, GA.
Arlington, VA super middleweight Filip Stankovic will battle Patrick Pierre of New Orleans, LA in a six-round encounter. Stankovic, a native of Nis, Serbia (4-1, one KO), will look to bounce back from his first pro loss, a six-round unanimous decision defeat to Vaughn Alexander on the last card at the Waldorf Cultural Center on January 26th. Pierre (3-7, one KO) last fought on April 26th and lost a four-round unanimous decision to Benny Sinakin on April 26th in Philadelphia, PA.
In another six-rounder, super featherweight Oscar Moreno of Mexico City, Mexico will face Eric Manriquez of Houston, TX. Moreno (7-0, six KO) last fought on October sixth and scored a second-round TKO over Dakota Laster on October 6th in Louisville, KY. Manriquez (6-6-1, three KO's) is winless in his last eight bouts including a six-round unanimous decision loss to Starling Cordero on March 16th in Juncos, Puerto Rico.
Two Beltway Boxers are looking for opponents on this card. Salisbury, MD welterweight "Nasty" Nigel Fennell will be in a four-round contest. Fennell (3-0, three KO's) competes for the first time in the Beltway after scoring a first-round TKO over Jarrett Walden on February 9th in Norfolk, VA.
Also, DC heavyweight Nathaniel "The Juggernaut" Copeland will be in another four-round encounter. Copeland (1-0, one KO) made an impressive pro debut needing just 44 seconds to knock out Kwasi Horton on December 15th in Vienna, VA.
Lusby, MD lightweight Nathaniel Lee Davis will make his pro debut on this card against equally debuting Alex Rivera. There will also be a women's contest with super lightweight Michaele Nogue of Chesapeake, VA will be in a four-round bout against debuting Dasha Ragland. Nogue lost her pro debut on the last card in Waldorf on January 26th by unanimous decision to Destiny Day-Owens.
Gregory is one of the utmost boxing player. Can't wait to see him in the Aaron Casper. His moves are better than anyone. MMA Gloves Waldorf Cultural Center will be packed with much crowd. As Gregory is the sensation for many hearts.
