Beltway Boxing fans better buckle up. We have just started the "Awesome April Of Beltway Boxing" but we now have to talk about another one of the four local cards that will take place during the "Magnificent May Along The Beltway." In May, there will be a local pro card every Saturday during the month.
On Saturday, May 18th, there will be a Tricky Entertainment card that will take place at the Entertainment and Sports Arena in Washington, DC. The card is scheduled to feature two regional title bouts and eight Beltway Boxers.
Headlining the card will be Largo, MD super middleweight and former world title challenger Dominic "Lights Out" Wade who will compete in a bout for WBC and IBO Regional titles. Wade (20-1, 14 KO's) has fought twice since his 2016 loss to Gennady Golovkin and has scored knockouts in both contests. In his last outing, Wade scored a fifth-round TKO over Josue Obando on February 23rd in Charlotte, NC.
The co-feature will have DC super featherweight "The Dark Menace" Tiara Brown who will participate in an IBF regional title bout. Brown (7-0, five KO's) comes off a fourth-round stoppage of former world champion Dahiana Santana on December 8th in Bowie, MD. Brown, who works as a police officer in DC, recently received another honor as she was named the Washington, DC Police Officer of the Year.
Also slated to be on this card are DC super lightweight Antonio "Teflon" Magruder (5-0-1, four KO's), Greenbelt, MD cruiserweight "The Vanilla Gorilla" Sam Crossed (8-0, five KO's), DC welterweight David "Day-Day" Grayton (15-3-1, 11 KO's), Hyattsville, MD super lightweight Patrick "YG Pat" Harris (15-0, eight KO's), DC featherweight Jordan "Short Dog" White (7-1, six KO's) and debuting DC lightweight Taurean "Untouchable Tip" Venable.
This card joins the cards that will take place May 4th at the Waldorf Cultural Center in Waldorf, MD, May 11th at the Eagle Bank Arena in Fairfax, VA and May 25th at MGM National Harbor Casino in Oxon Hill, MD. We will give full details on all May events at a later date.
