There is a late change to the Premier Boxing Champions/DiBella Entertainment/TGB Promotions card that will take place on Sunday, March 24th at MGM National Harbor Casino in Oxon Hill, MD.
Former world champion Sakio Bika's bout against Lionell Thompson has been scratched from the card. The Maryland State Athletic Commission discovered during Friday's pre-fight examination that Bika, who has not competed since October of 2017, has a medical issue.
This means three Beltway Boxers will be featured on the preliminary FS1 telecast of the card that will begin at 6 PM ET. Undefeated Hyattsville, MD super featherweight Cobia "The Soldier" Breedy (12-0, four KO's) will be in his first eight-round bout against Fernando "Chukito" Fuentes of Hemet, CA (14-7-1, four KO's). Alexandria, VA middleweight Brandon "Bulldog" Quarles (21-4-1, 10 KO's) will compete against Aaron Coley of Hayward, CA (15-2-1, seven KO's) in an eight-round encounter and rookie Baltimore, MD super middleweight Lorenzo "Truck" Simpson (2-0, two KO's) appears in his first nationally-televised contest against late sub Jaime "Audilio" Meza of Compton, CA by way of Nicaragua who will be making his pro debut.
The featured bouts on the card -- Lamont Peterson vs. Sergey Lipinets, Anthony Peterson vs. Argenis Mendez and Jamontay Clark against Vernon Brown -- will be part of the PBC on FS1 and Fox Deportes telecast that will start at 8 PM ET.
