Bouts have been added to the DiBella Entertainment/TGB Promotions card that will take place on Sunday, March 24th at MGM National Harbor Casino in Oxon Hill, MD. This is the card that features Washington, DC's Peterson Brothers in separate bouts.
Alexandria, VA middleweight Brandon "Bulldog" Quarles will be in an eight-round contest against Aaron Coley of Hayward, CA. Quarles (21-4-1, 10 KO's) is riding a three-bout winning streak that includes a 10-round unanimous decision victory over Todd Manuel on December 22nd in Brooklyn, NY. Quarles will make his second trip to the MGM National Harbor Casino where he scored a fifth-round TKO over Fidel Monterrosa Munoz on May 19th.
Coley (15-2-1, seven KO's) looks to bounce back from a 12-round split decision loss to Paul Valenzuela, Jr. on April 7th in Lagos, Nigeria. The bout was for the German version of the World Boxing Union Middleweight title.
Rookie Baltimore, MD super middleweight Lorenzo "Truck" Simpson returns to action in a four-round contest against Earl "Jeree" Henry of San Diego, CA. Simpson (2-0, two KO's) comes off a third-round knockout win over Derion Chapman on February 9th in Carson, CA. Henry (0-1-1) lost a four-round unanimous decision to Jeffrey Muriel on February 22nd in Huntington, NY.
A feature bout on this card will be a 10-round contest between Cincinnati, OH super welterweight "The Quiet Assassin" Jamontay Clark and undefeated Vernon Brown of Chicago, IL. Clark (13-1, seven KO's) lost for the first time in his last outing, a 10-round unanimous decision to Jeison Rosario on August 24th in Minneapolis, MN. Clark made his pro debut in the Beltway, defeating Lee Kreisher by third-round TKO in January of 2014 at the DC Armory in Washington, DC on the Lamont Peterson-Dierry Jean card.
Brown (10-0-1, seven KO's) comes off a first-round knockout win over Marlon Lewis on October 13th in Gary, IN. Clark will serve as a step up in competition for Brown.
Also on the card will be an eight-round super lightweight bout between Jose Miguel Borrego of Aguascalientes, Mexico and Jerry Thomas of St. Mary's, KS. Borrego (14-2, 13 KO's) last fought on September 22nd and lost a 10-round majority decision to Cameron Krael in Las Vegas, NV. Thomas (14-1-1, eight KO's) scored a sixth-round TKO over the debuting Brad Robison on May 19th in Topeka, KS.
