A number of local boxers appeared on a card at the Mountaineer Casino Ballroom in New Cumberland, WVA on Saturday.
One boxer who was scheduled to appear on this card but did not was Washington, DC's Dusty Hernandez Harrison who had a number of opponents fall out on him during the days leading up to the bouts. Harrison (30-0-1, 16 KO's) is still looking to compete for the first time since September of 2016.
Two Beltway Boxers did compete on the card. Upper Marlboro, MD heavyweight Mike "Silverback" Balogun scored a first-round knockout over Cory "The Cobra" Phelps of Catlettsburg, KY. No word on the time of the knockout. Balogun remains undefeated at 12-0, nine KO's. while Phelps falls to 16-12-1, eight KO's.
Also on the card, Suitland, MD super welterweight Lenwood "Mr. Composure" Dozier battled Daniel "Feel Good Hollywood" Rosenberger of Youngstown, OH to a four-round draw. All three judges were in agreement and scored the bout 38-38. Dozier's record is now 10-21-3, five KO's. Rosenberger is now 4-6-4, one KO.
