Weekend Results: Corley Loses Rematch With Harris; Lockett Stopped In Third!

Here are a couple of results from this past Saturday, July 21st.  Former WBO Super Lightweight champion DeMarcus "Chop Chop" Corley of Washington, DC lost a 12-round unanimous decision to former WBA Super Lightweight champion "Vicious" Vivian Harris of Brooklyn, NY at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, TN.

No details on this bout but Corley lost by scores of 116-112 (twice) and 118-110.  Corley has now lost two straight contests and his record is now 51-31-1, 28 KO's.  Harris avenges his 10-round loss to Corley in May of 2017 and is now 33-12-2, 19 KO's.

Also, Takoma Park, MD light heavyweight Willis "The Prophet" Lockett lost by third-round TKO to undefeated Lennox "2 Sharpe" Allen of New York City at the Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, CT.  According to reports, the southpaw Allen began the contest prodding with his jab. A right hook upstairs found the mark and dropped Lockett in the first. Allen then targeted the midsection to break down his foe. A visibly weary Lockett ate a left hook to the body in round three and hit the floor. Discerning that Lockett was unable to continue, the referee immediately waved off the contest without a count, ending matters at the round’s 3:00 mark.   Lockett's record is now 16-24-6, five KO's while Allen, who was returning after a three-year absence, remains undefeated at 21-0-1, 14 KO's.
