Moore Wins Split Decision, Isley Wins Unanimously in Springfield, MA!

Alexandria, VA's Amelia Moore has won a split decision over former world championship silver medalist Kallie Harrington of Dublin, Ireland at the USA vs. Ireland dual meet tonight at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, MA.

In her first international competition at 141 pounds, Moore was able to walk down Harrington and avoid her hooks from the southpaw stance.  Moore landed solid straight right hands to earn the victory by a 2-1 score.

Fellow Alexandria boxer Troy Isley put on a dominating performance in winning a unanimous decision over Gerard French of Ireland in a 165-pound contest.  Isley was incredibly sharp and accurate throughout the bo. Isley lost a point for a low blow in the third round but that proved to be no factor in the contest.  This was Isley's second win of this tour.

Keyshawn Davis's bout seems to have been scratched from the card tonight.  No word on whether he will compete in the final leg of this competition which will be held on Wednesday, March 21st in Manchester, NH.
