Dyer Stopped In Fourth; Pryor Loses Six-Round Decision In Atlantic City!

A couple of tough losses for Beltway Boxers at the Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ on Saturday evening.

Baltimore, MD lightweight Jahmal Dyer lost by fourth-round stoppage to previously winless Vanderley Miranda of Marseille, France.  Dyer started the bout well, keeping Miranda off balance with hard shots.  However, late in the fourth round, Miranda caught Dyer with two hard right hands that staggered Dyer all around the ring.  Dyer never went down but referee Benji Esteves saw enough to stop the contest at 2:14.   Dyer loses for the first time as a pro and he is now 4-1, two KO's.  Miranda is now 1-3, one KO.

Cruiserweight Larry "Hitman" Pryor of Frederick, MD lost a six-round unanimous decision to undefeated Alvin "Iron Majik" Vermall, Jr. of Catskill, NY.  Vermall dropped Pryor in the second down and went on to win the relatively easy decision.  The scores were 60-53 (twice) and 59-54.  Pryor falls to 10-19, five KO's while Vermall is now 15-0-1, 12 KO's.
