Ferhadi Faces Aikens In Philadelphia Main Event August 11!

Undefeated Frederick, MD super middleweight Devar "Jengawar" Ferhadi takes the biggest step of his young career when he faces veteran Antowyan Aikens of Atlantic City, NJ in an eight-round main event on Friday, August 11th at the Sugar House Casino in Philadelphia, PA.

Ferhadi (7-0, six KO's) has not fought since August of 2016 when he knocked out Christopher Petty in the third round in Crystal City, VA.  Ferhadi spends a number of months of the year in his native Iraq in medical school.  This will be Ferhadi's first time going past the four-round plateau in his young pro career.

Aikens (11-3-1, one KO) broke a three-bout losing streak in his last outing, winning a six-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Amir Shabazz via six-round unanimous decision on May 19 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.  Aikens will be facing a Beltway Boxer for the third time.  Aikens won a six-round unanimous decision over Sherman Artis, Jr. in April of 2014 in Atlantic City and fought to a six-round draw with Tahir Thomas in November of 2015 in Philadelphia.
