Undefeated Frederick, MD super middleweight Devar "Jengawar" Ferhadi takes the biggest step of his young career when he faces veteran Antowyan Aikens of Atlantic City, NJ in an eight-round main event on Friday, August 11th at the Sugar House Casino in Philadelphia, PA.
Ferhadi (7-0, six KO's) has not fought since August of 2016 when he knocked out Christopher Petty in the third round in Crystal City, VA. Ferhadi spends a number of months of the year in his native Iraq in medical school. This will be Ferhadi's first time going past the four-round plateau in his young pro career.
Aikens (11-3-1, one KO) broke a three-bout losing streak in his last outing, winning a six-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Amir Shabazz via six-round unanimous decision on May 19 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. Aikens will be facing a Beltway Boxer for the third time. Aikens won a six-round unanimous decision over Sherman Artis, Jr. in April of 2014 in Atlantic City and fought to a six-round draw with Tahir Thomas in November of 2015 in Philadelphia.
