August Beltway Boxing Schedule!

Here is our first look at what we have for the August Boxing Schedule thus far.  There are a number of events in and out of the Beltway region.  We will provide details on each event as the card draws closer.

Tuesday-Saturday, August 1-5 -- Lorenzo Simpson competes in Brandenburg Cup amateur tournament in Frankfurt, Germany.

Saturday, August 5 -- Beltway Boxers Willis Lockett and Jessie Singletary compete on a card at the Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ.

Saturday, August 12 -- Beltway pro card at the Howard Theatre in Washington, DC.  Among the boxers scheduled to appear on the card are Patrick Harris, Franchon Crews-Dezurn, Tiara Brown and Shynggyskhan Tazhibay.

Saturday, August 12 -- Beltway Boxers Seth Billups and Carlos Cruz slated to appear on a Ponytail Promotions card at the Masonic Temple in Norfolk, VA.  We have learned that Tori Nelson will not compete on this card.

Saturday, August 12 -- Beltway Boxer Ashton Sykes makes his pro debut in Madison, WI.

Friday-Sunday, August 18-20 -- The 2017 DC Mayor's Cup amateur tournament at the Raymond Recreation Center, 3725 10th Street, NW in DC.

Saturday, August 19 --  Mike Reed takes on Robert Frankel in 10-round contest at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, NB.

Saturday, August 19 -- Malik Jackson competes in four-round super bantamweight contest against an opponent to be announced at the Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ.

Tuesday, August 22 -- Anthony Peterson battles Mickey Bey in 10-round main event contest at
Sam's Town Live in Las Vegas, NV.  The bout will be shown on FS1.

Friday, August 25 -- Immanuwel Aleem takes on Hugo Centeno, Jr. in 10-round co-feature at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, OK.  The bout will be shown on FS1.

Saturday, August 26 -- Gervonta Davis defends IBF Super Featherweight championship against an opponent to be determined at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV.  The bout will be shown on the Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor card on pay-per-view.

Saturday, August 26 -- 10th Annual Cease Fire --Don't Smoke The Brothers and Sisters Amateur Boxing Event at Upshur Playground, 14th and Arkansas Avenue, Northwest in DC.

Devar Ferhadi was scheduled to appear on an August 11th card in Philadelphia, however that bout has been canceled.

  1. Hey Gary, my brother Ashton the Goon Sykes, makes his pro debut in Madison Wisconsin, August 12 against Kevin Garduno, who also is making his pro debut. They are fighting at 165lbs, middleweight. A Supreme Hits Promotion. My brother most recent fights include, Lorenzo Truck Simpson, and Troy Isley, both who are on the USA Olympic team currently. Please show us some love. Thanks.

  2. That Davis fight is on the undercard of Floyd-Conor, isn't it? Good exposure for Tank!

    Say what you want about Floyd, but having him help promote you can't hurt.
