Laurel, MD super middleweight Demond "D Best At It" Nicholson lost a tough eight-round split decision to undefeated Steve "Mr." Rolls of Toronto, Ontario, Canada Friday night in front of a national television audience (Showtime) at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, NY.
Nicholson got off to a good start early in the bout as he caught Rolls with a right hand. However, Rolls was able to do just enough to win the contest on the scorecards, receiving two 77-74 scores. Nicholson got the nod on one scorecard 77-75.
Nicholson is now 17-2-1, 16 KO's while Rolls remains undefeated at 16-0, nine KO's.
