Grayton Faces Former Champ Cintron March 17 in Reading, PA!

Washington, DC welterweight David "Day-Day" Grayton will face the biggest name in his career when he takes on former two-time world champion Kermit "Killer" Cintron of Reading, PA in a 10-round contest on Friday, March 17 at the Santander Arena in Reading.

Grayton (15-1, 11 KO's) bounced back from suffering his first pro loss by scoring an eighth-round TKO over fellow Beltway Boxer Kareem Martin on August 23 in Bethlehem, PA.  Cintron (39-5-2, 30 KO's) returned to a busy schedule in 2016 after being off for two years.  Cintron picked up four wins last year, his last two coming by stoppage.  Cintron won the interim WBO welterweight title with an eighth-round TKO over Teddy Reid in July of 2004 in Houston, TX.  Cintron would get knocked out by Antonio Margarito in his next contest for the WBO title in April of 2005.  Cintron would then compete at Michael's Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie, MD and score a third-round TKO over Francisco Javier Parra in September of 2005.

Cintron would win the vacant IBF Welterweight title by knocking out Mark Suarez in the sixth round in October of 2006 and defend it three times before dropping the belt in a rematch against Margarito in April of 2008.

Bouts on this card will be shown on Bounce TV. However, no word yet on whether the Grayton-Cintron bout will make the telecast.
