Hawkins Wins Unanimous Decision, Odamattey Falls In First In Temecula!

Baltimore, MD welterweight Malik "Iceman" Hawkins won a four-round unanimous decision over an awkward Sean Gee of Portland, OR Friday night at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, CA.

Hawkins used solid body shots to keep the wild Gee off of him throughout the contest.  Hawkins scored a shutout victory (40-36) across the board to remain undefeated at 9-0, seven KO's.  Gee falls to 3-5.

Also on the card, Silver Spring, MD's Ben "Miracle" Odamattey was stopped in the first round by Skender Halili of Fort Worth, TX in a super welterweight encounter.  Halili dropped Odamattey with a right hand early in the round then overwhelmed him until the bout was stopped at 1:17 of the round.  Odamattey's record drops to 16-15-3, nine KO's while Halili is now 11-1, 11 KO's.

Both bouts were televised live on the CBS Sports Network.
