Williams To Challenge 'Superman' Stevenson For WBC Light Heavyweight Title July 29 In Quebec City, Canada!



Fort Washington, MD light heavyweight Thomas "Top Dog" Williams, Jr. will get his first shot at a world title when he challenges Adonis "Superman" Stevenson of Blainville, Quebec, Canada for the WBC Light Heavyweight title on Friday, July 29 from the Centre Videotron in Quebec City, Canada.

Williams (20-1, 14 KO's) earned his title shot by stopping Edwin Rodriguez in the second round on April 30 in Carson, CA.  Williams is currently ranked ninth by the WBC.

This is a voluntary defense for Stevenson (27-1, 22 KO's) who hasn't fought since September 11th when he defended his title for the sixth time, scoring a third-round TKO over Tommy Karpency in Toronto, Canada.

The bout will headline a PBC on Spike TV telecast.
