Three Beltway Boxers will participate on a King's Promotions card on Tuesday, June 28 at the Sands Bethlehem Events Center in Bethlehem, PA.
Capitol Heights, MD super bantamweight Antonio Russell will be in a scheduled six-round contest against Rudolph "Cutting Edge" Hedge of Kingston, Jamaica. Russell (6-0, five KO's) last fought on April 16 and won by second-round TKO over Alberto Serna in Mashantucket, CT. Hedge (10-3-3, four KO's) will try to bounce back from a ninth-round TKO loss to Dewayne Beamon for the UBF All-America Bantamweight title on May 13 in Raleigh, NC.
Two King's Promotions signees from the Beltway will also be on this card. Forestville, MD super lightweight Mykal "The Professor" Fox returns in a six-rounder against veteran Jose Valderrama of Manati, Puerto Rico. Valderrama (5-13, three KO's) broke a six-bout losing streak with a four-round unanimous decision win over Rafael Martinez on April 17 in Santiago De Los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. Valderrama is 0-3 against Beltway Boxers losing to Demond Nicholson, Malik Hawkins and David Grayton in consecutive contests.
Also, DC featherweight Marcus Bates returns to action in a four-round bout against the debuting Bennie Culpepper of St. Louis, MO. Bates (3-0-1, three KO's) has not fought since winning by four-round knockout over Edgardo Marin in October of 2014 in Fort Washington, MD. This will be his first bout under the King's Promotions banner.
