Two Baltimore boxers will participate on a pro card on Friday, May 27 at the Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino in Niagara Falls, NY. The card is scheduled to be shown on the CBS Sports Network.
Super welterweight Malik "Iceman" Hawkins will look to remain undefeated as he takes on his most experienced foe to date in Richard "Tiger" Lee Hall of Rocky Mount, NC in a six-round contest. Hawkins (7-0, six KO's) scored a sixth-round TKO over Errol Sidney in his last outing on April 16 in Las Vegas, NV.
Hall (11-23-3, seven KO's) last fought on August 1 and scored a sixth-round TKO win over Maurice Chalmers in Greensboro, NC. Hawkins will be the tenth boxer from the Beltway that Hall has faced in his career. Hall has wins over Ricardo Edmonds and Antonio Reese, a draw with Bayan Jargal and losses to Cliff Richard, Marlon Haynes, Ishmail Arvin, Tim Coleman, Jessie Nicklow and, most recently to Gerome Quigley, who knocked Hall out in the fifth round in March of 2015 in Springfield, VA.
Also on the card will be the returning Glenn Dezurn who will be in a six-round contest against Harvey "Chi Chi" Murray of Rochester, NY. Dezurn (6-0, four KO's) has not fought since scoring a first-round TKO over Ronald McGriff in December 2014. This will also be Dezurn's first bout since signing with Greg Cohen Promotions.
Murray (4-4-2, one KO) will be looking to break a two-bout losing streak and has not fought since dropping a four-round unanimous decision loss to Raul Lopez in Rochester in August of 2012.
