Nicholson Goes The Distance For First Time In Unanimous Decision Victory!

Demond Nicholson went a full distance for the first time in his career in winning an eight-round unanimous decision over a very tough Joshua Okine tonight at the DC Armory.

Nicholson landed some vicious body shots although he was warned by referee Brent Bovell for low shots.  Okine showed signs of breaking down at times but also landed good shots as well.  Nicholson dictated the pace of the bout and got the win.  Nicholson won by scores of 80-72, 78-74 and 79-72.  Nicholson is now 17-1, 16 KO's.  Okine falls to 22-5, 15 KO's.

Next up: J'Leon Love of Las Vegas faces Michael Gbenga of Lagos, Nigeria in a scheduled 10-round super middleweight contest.
