Bowie, MD super middleweight "The King's Son" Jerry Odom has battled to an eight-round draw tonight with undefeated Ronald "Flatline" Ellis of Lynn, MA in front of a nationally-televised audience at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ.
Odom started off slowly in the first three rounds as Ellis landed quick punches to Odom's face.
Odom went to the body effectively in the middle rounds, slowing down Ellis, who tried to showboat at times. Odom finshed very well in the last two rounds but couldn't get the win.
One judge scored the bout for Ellis, 78-74 but the two other judges saw the draw, 76-76.
Odom is now 13-2-1, 12 KO's while Ellis is 12-0-1, 10 KO's.
