Dozier, Williams Lose Bouts In Brooklyn!

Two Beltway Boxers lost bouts today on the undercard of the Daniel Jacobs-Peter Quillin card at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Suitland, MD super lightweight Lenwood "Mr. Composure" Dozier lost an eight-round unanimous decision to former WBA champion Yuri Foreman of Brooklyn.  According to reports, Dozier caught Foreman late in the first round with some hard shots but Foreman settled down on his punches and won the decision.  All three judges scored the bout 77-75.  Dozier is now 9-10-1, four KO's while Foreman's record rises to 33-2, nine KO's.

Cruiserweight Willie "For Real" Williams of Baltimore, MD was stopped in the first round by Luis "El Leon" Garcia of Cork, Ireland by way of Matanzas, Cuba.  Garcia dropped Williams with a left hook early in the round and the bout was stopped at 1:03.  Garcia remains undefeated at 13-0, 10 KO's.  Williams is now 14-11-2, four KO's.

Williams is the third Beltway Boxer Garcia has defeated in his career.  Garcia scored a third-round TKO over Demetrius Davis in June of 2010 in Cork.  In his last bout, which took place in December of 2011, Garcia won an eight-round unanimous decision over Alexander Johnson in Cabazon, CA.
