Amateur Boxing In Glen Burnie; Petersons Serve Food For Needy On Wednesday!

The day before Thanksgiving features members of the Beltway Boxing Community in a giving mood.

On Wednesday, November 25, there will be an amateur boxing card at Michael's Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie, MD. The main event features Brian Haneschlager of the Baltimore Boxing Club taking on Drew Ryan of West Virginia. Also slated to be on the card are Joe and Sean -- The Veazey Brothers as well as a co-feature between two Baltimore competitors as Donald Wallace battles Tyrell Boyd for the Maryland State Middleweight championship.

Fans are also asked to bring canned food items and contribute to the canned food drive named in memory of Baltimore heavyweight fan favorite "The American Dream" Mike Dietrich.

Also on Wednesday, Lamont and Anthony -- The Peterson Brothers along with trainer Barry Hunter and other boxers from the Headbangers gym will be serving food to the homeless and hungry and working the dining room at So Others Might Eat (SOME) located at 71 O Street in Northwest DC from 10:30 AM to 1:15 PM.  SOME is an interfaith, community-based organization that exists to help the poor and homeless of our nation’s capital.
