Middleweight "The Pride of Alexandria (VA)" Brandon Quarles scored a six-round TKO over Dennis Sharpe of Jersey City, NJ. This is the second time Quarles has stopped Sharpe -- Quarles scored a fourth-round TKO in November of 2014 at Constitution Hall. Quarles is now 17-3-1, eight KO's while Sharpe's record evens at 17-17-4, four KO's.
Centerville, VA middleweight Zain "Tiger" Shah returned to action after an almost two-year absence and won a six-round decision over "Dangerous" Ryan Davis of East St. Louis, IL. Shah broke a three-bout losing streak with the win and is now 6-3, three KO's. Davis's record drops to 24-17-3, nine KO's.
Also, rookie lightweight Eric "El Torito" Hernandez of Leesburg, VA went six rounds for the first time in his pro career and won a unanimous decision over Benjamin "Wildcat" Olinga of Washington, DC. Hernandez won by scores of 58-56 (twice) and 59-55. Hernandez remains undefeated at 5-0, three KO's while Olinga is now 1-11.
In women's action, legendary champion Mia "The Knockout" St. John of Oxnard, CA won a four-round unanimous decision over Tammy "The Tigress" Franks of San Antonio, TX. St. John scored a shutout (40-36) on all three cards in her first bout since being stopped by Tori Nelson in May of 2014 in Annandale, VA. St. John is now 48-14-2, 18 KO's. Franks now has a record of 2-26-1.
