Beltway Judge Braslow Travels To Thailand To Judge First World Title Bout!
Congratulations and best wishes to Beltway Boxing judge and referee Dave Braslow. The Ellicott City, MD resident is in Bangkok, Thailand this week to serve as a judge for the first time for a major world title contest.
Braslow will be one of three judges for the IBF Flyweight championship bout between undefeated champion Amnat Ruenroeng of Chonburi, Thailand (15-0, five KO's) and challenger and former IBF Light Flyweight titleholder John Riel Casimero of Cebu, Philippines (21-2, 13 KO's) Saturday June 27 at Hua Mark Indoor Stadium.
Braslow has judged more than 250 contests throughout Maryland and Pennsylvania since beginning his career in 2011. Among the noted bouts Braslow has judged are the WIBA Women's Welterweight title between Tori Nelson and Kali Reis in November of 2013 in Cockeysville, MD and the USBA heavyweight bout between Steve Cunningham and Amir Mansour in Apil of 2014 in Philadelphia, PA. Braslow has also refereed 40 bouts in his career, all in Maryland or Washington, DC.
